About Slope Search

Built by riders
for riders

One search. Every resort. Real prices. The simplest way to plan your ski trip.

The quote that started it

“Find us a good spot.”

My brother said, as if finding a perfect snowboarding trip was as easy as grabbing a cup of coffee. But here's the reality: we live smack dab between a handful of ski resorts, each with its own set of confusing prices, outdated websites, and never-ending scrolls of info that make a physics textbook look like a comic strip. That's when Slope Search dropped in. The marketplace every skier and snowboarder secretly wishes existed — aggregating lift tickets across the country so you can finally compare resorts side-by-side without needing a degree in advanced Googling. No more bouncing between sites, wrangling different price mechanisms, or guessing if the slopes will live up to the hype. So next time you're itching for a powder day, skip the online circus. With Slope Search, your next mountain adventure is just a few clicks away — we've made planning easier than ordering a pizza.

What we do

One search. Every resort.

Slope Search is a free ski resort comparison platform covering hundreds of resorts across the United States and Canada. Search by location and instantly compare lift ticket prices, trail counts, vertical drop, and resort ratings side-by-side — no account required, no booking fees, no fine print.

Think of us as the Google Flights of ski resorts. Instead of visiting a dozen resort websites and manually tracking prices, Slope Search puts every mountain in one place so you can make a confident, informed decision about where to ski or snowboard on any given day.

Ski slope with mountain peaks — ski resort comparison

Our Story

Born out of a frustration every skier knows.

Planning a weekend trip meant opening five resort websites, trying to compare lift ticket prices across different tabs, wondering which mountain had the better vertical drop for your group — and ultimately just going where you always go because the research took too long.

We founded Slope Search in 2024 to fix that. As skiers and snowboarders ourselves, we wanted one honest place to compare every resort — with accurate lift ticket pricing, real trail data, and the ability to filter by what actually matters to you. Today Slope Search covers ski areas across the US and Canada, and it will always be free to use.

By the numbers

The U.S. ski industry, in context.

The United States is home to more than 470 operating ski areas spread across six geographic regions — from New England through the Rockies to the Pacific Northwest — according to the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA), the industry's primary trade group. NSAA data shows U.S. resorts have logged more than 60 million skier visits in each of the past several seasons.

That's a lot of mountains and a lot of trips — and the way most skiers research them hasn't changed in twenty years. Slope Search was built to fix that, with a single search that works across every resort in our growing database.
